To all of you experiences SM and IP.
I was curious to know what we do after the child is born. We are IP and wanting to know more on the process after the child is born and what the IP does for the child corncerning milk and does anyone have ever brestfed the child some days after birth?
I'm just trying to find the best way for the child to get the most importent breastmilk. We have thought about getting the milk bottled from our SM.
Any ideas and inputs I'll appriciate it.

You can always find a surrogate breastmilk donor if your surrogate isn't willing to pump. There are many on SMO looking to donate their milk. I pumped for another couple after my surrobabe #1 was born. Plus you have milk banks - but be prepared to spend a lot of money!! I heard their fees are outrageous.
You can also induce lactation yourself if you are interested and able. I am currently going through the protocol, if you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me privately.
i would also post this on SMO for some answers. i know there are donor banks but not all surro's will BF. I know i didn't/couldn't. I had many reasons but the #1 reason was that I didn't want to form a bond with that child & I felt that to continue with BF while in the hospital & then pumping & shipping later on would make a bond & make it hard to detach in the future. I was a GS. Now, it goes both ways with surro's so just be sure you & your surro have this discussed beforehand & if you really want to breastfeed & are not trying to induce lactation yourself you have a backup plan as well (with the milk banks).
