Just got word back today that my Canadian donation resulted in a pregnancy! Her HCG level went from 345 to 1200! They tested Last Friday, 03/05... does anyone know if this is indicitive of twins?

Wow good job Jenn !!! Well I guess it depends on how long after she tested. Do you know how many days past transfer it was when they did a beta? Those are great numbers!!! I say twins. Only because between thetwo tests it more than doubled in numbers!!! And my RE said if it more then doubles...meaning more like tripples its twins.

Thanks Jenn! As far as I know they tested on Friday, but I don't know if that was their second test date (meaning I don't know when their first test date was) or if Friday was their first and today was their second. If that were the case then that would mean it has more than tripled in two days. The transfer took place on 02/17, so the day they tested would have been 16 days later. I know for sure they tested on Friday (16 days later) and I don't know why they would have tested any sooner than that?

Ok, that's probably confusing but I'm racking my brain here. I would think that still their tests were within 3 days of eachother which would still mean her numbers have tripled in just a few days. What do you think with that new info Jenn? :)

Great job Jenn!! As far as twins, the beta number isn't always the best indicator of multiples. I've seen numbers all over the place for singletons and multiples.

Good advice Jodi (and Selena too!). Thanks :)

LOL Thanks Dana. I'm definitly excited about it :) It is very strange to think that there will be a child or children out there sharing my genes that I'll never meet!

Hey Jenn...GREAT news! Usually anything over 100 is positive and anything over 200 is twins but you never know for sure until the ultrasound. Could be a strong 1 or could be 2. Fingers crossed!!

My first 2 Betas were 473 at 14 dpt, 966 at 16 dpt....I've got a singleton growing.

Like the others have said already, anything over 100 is a good positive, and as long as they are doubling every 48-72 hours, it's great! but there is no real consistancy for the numbers to help determine how many embryos grabbed hold. One surro in my group had her first beta at 1200 and her 2nd was around 4000, but they only transferred one embryo and have only one baby growing...

Congrats jenn for an awesome job! Hope you had a good trip to canada!
