My husband and I are looking for a surrogate. After being scammed for adoption we are looking for a safer route to complete our family. I had to undergo a hysterectomy last september a week after my 32nd birthday. We were crushed that we may never be able to have a baby. Briefly explain your personal reasons for wanting to be a surrogate: Well it started when I was about 15 actually(not that I wanted to be one then) but I was talking to my aunt(my moms best friend) and she had POS and explained it to me, she had this along with a few other under lined problems. She and her husband wanted so so badly to be parents and they were always there for us if we needed them and just around our whole lives. Well it just really got me thinking and the feeling just never went a way. I always knew I would be a mom and a good one. I always took care of my little brothers and picked them up from school and watched them when my mom did work and it just felt so good. And any person who feels that strongly about being a parent should be able to be one no mater what the terms and if it takes having to have some help from another then well I am here. I don't feel any mother should be childless. All girls are mothers from the time they are born, some of them just need a little help.
Do you want to have any more children? Some day if I find the right person, honestly what I went though with my x-husband just was so horrible there is no way I could see myself being with another man for a very long time. And the fact that I have two children, well it would have to be a really special man for me to let him be in my children's life's
What qualities do you consider to be most important in choosing to work with prospective parents? Honesty, committed and just being real.
As a surrogate, would you have any concerns with the prospective parents participating in the birthing process? No
As a surrogate, what reassurance can you give that you will not change your mind about relinquishing the child? I will have to refer you to the question about why I want to be a surrogate and the one about if I want to have any more children.
How do you feel being a surrogate with affect your life? How might it prove difficult? I don't find that it will be difficult at all I had no problems with my last two pregnancies.
How much contact were you thinking you would like with the parents during pregnancy, delivery and after the child is born? Whatever they see is fit, this is there child.
What would your response be if the child wanted to meet you? As long as the parents are ok with it I am fine with it 100%

Afternoon, I actually looked up the requirements in Texas for surrogate mothers and I could not find a age barrier. I would love to help you out. I do not have a previous child of my own, and I know that might slow the process a little but I still want to try. Let me tell you a little about myself, my name is Alexis Johnson I was born and raised in north east texas. I graduated high school in 2008 and in January 2010 I not only gradutated a trade school for cosmetology I also started college and Jones International University for business. I have a large family on my mothers side... and quite a small one on my fathers side. My height is a little above average now days im 5' 8'' im curvy but i also work out all the time. I have many goals in life from gettin as much education as possible to opening my own salon and other businesses. But my main goal in life is surrogacy. I'm interested. I'm not a "typical" surrogate, being 40 years old and having fibromyalgia, but I've got a good heart, don't smoke, drink, or take any drugs my doctor doesn't require (which aren't believed to be bad for fetuses), and am absolutely committed to helping someone have the baby of their dreams.

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I live in Ohio. I had not considered surrogacy until a few months ago, but then realized that I have something to offer others. I will be just as particular in choosing a potential family as the family will be in choosing a surrogate. I am 29 years old, healthy, athletic, and intelligent. I earned my first college degree in 2004 and I am working towards my nursing degree now. I am entering the health care field so I have had multiple physical exams, and I would be more than willing to take a drug test. Also, I am a non-smoker. Honestly, I must say, reading these other posts of women from other countries, women who can't spell, and women who have never had a child and have no idea of what to expect, I would definitely say I'm the #1 choice- I would choose me! : ) Oh, and my GPA, if it's important, is 3.6 (while going to school 3 nights a week and working a full-time job).
