How strict are the previous birth standards for SM's or ED's?

I have always had a dream to be a surrogate mother, I am a naturally giving person and I can imagine no greater gift than helping to bring a child into the world.

I am now starting to look into this and hopefully make my dream a reality, where can I go to get real answers?

My main question is about the requirements for prior birth/pregnancies. My third child was no problems, 9 lbs, 21" baby girl, vaginal delivery, perfectly healthy home birth with no issues, 10 days overdue.

My second child was no birth issues besides 10 days overdue, 10.4 pounds 24" strong healthy baby boy, vaginal delivery. My son was born with a minor cleft lip.

My first baby was conceived in an extremely stressful time period, and was born at 27.5 weeks gestation, also vaginal delivery at 2 lbs 4 oz, 14", however she was strong and healthy with no major complications and is now turning 8 years old soon and is advanced in all subjects of school.

My question is...

Am I out of the running due to the premature birth and my son with the cleft? Should I persue being an SM or ED or should I not?

Your personal opinion is welcome!

Jaymi, I might consider SM, GS style (meaning you are not genetically linked to the baby). As an ED your genetic traits are passed along and due to the fact that heridtary traits have not been ruled out as a contribution to the result of a cleft lip child it is possible that could happen to the resultant offspring for an egg donation.

Having carried 3 births will shine well upon someone seeking out a surrogate mother. Also, your honesty in regards to your birth history will sit well with IP's as well.
