Surrogate Motherhood - The best surrogate mothers community

Any Surrogates or IPs matched internationally out there?

I am an IM from Australia who is matched with a surrogate in America and would like to open some discussions on the difficulties faced by all parties and also the wonderful benefits.

My husband and I are just about to embark on our second attempt. We had a successful transfer earlier this year resulting in twin boys but much to our distress our surrogate suffered a miscarriage.

We are just waiting for a new schedule from the Clinic and we will be flying back to America in the next 3-4 wks to begin another journey.

I would love to hear from anyone who is on a similiar journey or is thinking about an international match

One of the great things about surrogacy in Canada is that our medical system is social, meaning that as the pregnant woman, all medical visits including the birth are covered! It took about 5 weeks for all the paperwork to be done and their sweet baby girl went home with both of them listed on the birth certificate, without, an DNA test! Permalink Reply by 4 chayrez on June 30, 2009 at 10:40am: I have been matched with my IP's for a year now and they ae form Moscow Russia. We had one failed transfer in December and we are currently in the 2ww just transferring two days ago.
I wouldnt trade our relationship because of the distance. They are very respectful, caring, and supportive of myself and family. Language can be difficult at times but IF speaks English fairly well.
I reside in Cali which I believe is the most surrogate friendly state and we have an awesome RE who is visited by IP's across the world. Best of luck.; ▶ Reply to This

I'd love to help but I must live in the country I could be a SM and that's a "little" trouble for the IP's.; ▶ Reply to This

I am a surrogate mother from South Africa has been a surrogate 3 times and one IP was from over seas it was great all the way and will do it again if given the change. All the procedures were done in SA and the baby was born is SA and the greatest of all is that we are atill in contact with each other.
