I am new to surrogacy, still to begin and I was wondering if there are others on this board that live in Canada. I live in northern ontario, near Sudbury.

I specified that I do not touch the baby at all, the doctor hands the baby to the IPs; it is their child, not mine.

For both of my surrogacies the baby was put on my belly/chest and the IPs cut the cord and then held their baby. After this the nurse took the baby and did what was needed then returned to IPs. Once all was settled and the room is quieter I held the baby for a little while. It is whatever feels best for everyone.
